Hello World
Dont mean to be so cynical but every time I turn around they are trying to phase out Lpn’s. I have been a nurse, yes a honest to goodness, not a real; yet a licensed professional nurse for almost thirty years! In today,s programs I would not have gotten my Lpn Degree over my Rn, because you can do both in about the same amount of time. And lets face it those so-called real nurses make better wages than we low-life do.
So the next time you are in a hospital, doctor’s office or prison; they all employ Licensed Professional Nurses. I hope you will give them as much respect as you do a Registered nurse. The program I went thru was 1 year, five days per week with clinicals everyday. We did not practice on manecans, we practiced on real patients and had to be checked 3x on each procedure. The only time we used a manecan was for CPR, not BLS; and that doll Annie sure gave me a hard time. Back then I was much smaller and taught not to harm no, not one thing. So it was a struggle for me on that hard ass plastic doll to do chest compressions!
Just thought I would get that off my chest. Today I am much bigger, harder, fatter, meaner and I love to whip up on Annie!
